A group of neighboring houses Millan (673 inhabitants, according to INE) concentrated at noon yesterday in the Town Hall to protest the increase experienced by the water bill, sewer and garbage.

Those affected were surprised a few days ago to verify that the required amount for the first quarter of this year was well above the previous bill, ie the last quarter of last year. In one case, went to pay 39.63 euros for a consumption of 34 cubic hectometres have to pay 86.70 for a consumption of 45 cubic hectometres. That is, between one and another had a rise above 65 percent.

This surprise move some residents to take to the streets yesterday to protest. After expressing his displeasure, two Socialist councilors gave the mayor several sheets with signatures of neighbors who are willing to not pay those bills until the Consistory to explain the reasons for the rise. In fact, some lined up at the bank to request a refund of that fee. After receiving the signatures, Amparo Monroy, popular mayor of the town, down to the square and tried to argue the reasons for the increase.
